Faith Stories

Victoria “Betty” Faune Quilon

In October 2000, I was diagnosed with cancer and immediate surgery was recommended. On November 12, I underwent surgical removal of my right breast. The doctors advised immediate chemotherapy. I postponed the treatment to attend to my ailing father. He passed away three months later. With all that was happening, I thought that God was visiting us to draw us closer to Him.

My first chemo session was on Valentine’s Day. The pain of each session is hard to describe. By mid-March, I started losing my hair. I wore a bandana whenever I went out of the house.

On March 1, 2003, I was given a "manto" of Ina. I felt healthy whenever I covered my body with it. Then, my x-ray results revealed that I was fully healed.

It is almost 23 years since I was diagnosed. Truly, God has healed me through Ina.
